A Time to Reawaken to Find Renewal and Purpose

Dear Reader,

Have you ever reached a point in your life when everything around you felt too loud, too heavy — and yet, something quiet inside kept whispering: It’s time to return?

That’s where I find myself now.

In 2018, I launched Read and Believe as a way of sharing the inner journey I’ve been on for most of my life. I didn’t know what it would become or whether it held any long-term purpose. I just knew I had to begin — because what I had been reading, watching, and encountering no longer helped me grow. And for someone who has spent a lifetime educating others, I’ve always known that the deepest learning happens when we teach from within.

My first book felt like a beginning — a rough draft in many ways, but one that gathered all the meditations, reflections, and blog posts I had written over time. It marked a turning point: I no longer wanted to simply process my journey privately. I felt a renewed purpose to share it. Not as someone aligned with religion or “New Age” teachings, but as someone who walks a personal path — one rooted in connection, honesty, and deep listening.

In the seven years since, I’ve written occasional posts, and a second book has slowly been coming together. But this past year — from 2024 to now — brought profound challenges. Health issues, career pressures, and a sense of being consumed by my job left me with little energy for anything else. I know many of you can relate: when life asks everything from you, it can feel like there’s nothing left for yourself.

At the start of this year, I realized that if anything was going to change, it had to begin with me. So here we are — it’s now March of 2025, and I’ve made a conscious decision: to return to what nourishes me. That means reconnecting with my spiritual path, with my writing, and with you, the reader.

Today, I made space to meditate intentionally and ask for guidance. And what came through was simple but clear: Begin again.

I’ve never lost my connection to a higher power — I rely on it daily, especially when answers don’t come easily. I believe that everyone, regardless of background or belief system, can access that same connection. It lives within creativity, intuition, stillness, and trust. You don’t need permission — just a willingness to listen.

This is the beginning of a reawakening. For me, and maybe for you too.

My Quest for Knowledge

What follows is the wisdom that emerged while attuned to my higher power. In stillness, I focus on a guiding question and open myself to the insights that arise.

A Universal Truth

There is a universal truth that often arrives when we are still enough to listen:
Renewal is not about going back. It is about moving forward.
It is about stepping into the space you now belong — a space shaped by who you’ve become, not who you once were.

What creates discomfort on the path of renewal is the illusion that you’re returning — that you’re retracing steps on a road you’ve already walked. But when you see it that way, the journey will always feel uneasy, as if something no longer fits. Because it doesn’t. Not anymore.

Trying to Reclaim the Past

The space between who you were and who you are now may feel vast — like an entire lifetime has passed. And in many ways, it has.

For your own well-being, you are not meant to reclaim the past — not by reliving old roles, returning to former identities, or trying to replicate what once brought meaning. Time moves forward, and so must your soul.

Still, letting go of the past isn’t always simple. The familiar has gravity. Even if the outcomes weren’t ideal, the known can feel safer than the unknown. You might find yourself slipping into old behaviors, reaching for past comforts, or avoiding anything that reminds you of pain once endured.

Sometimes, the pull isn’t to reclaim a moment, but to recover a feeling — joy, peace, fulfillment. A hobby or spiritual practice that once nourished you may now call softly again. But when you reach toward it, the weight of its original context comes with it — including the pain, the stress, or the circumstances that once surrounded it.

That’s where hesitation lives: not in the activity itself, but in the memory it carries.

A Question from the Heart

For the writer of this message — for me — that moment came through meditation. I was reminded that spiritual teaching once offered deep peace and purpose. But as I reflected on returning to it, I felt the emotional residue of everything that surrounded it at the time: the exhaustion, the hardship, the loss.

So I asked a simple, powerful question:

How do I return to something that once nourished my soul, without being burdened by the weight of what once was?

Moving Forward with Wisdom

The answer was quiet but clear:

If you wish to revisit something meaningful from your past, let it be through the guidance of your higher power. Begin with a question. Open yourself in stillness. Let clarity come not in a rush, but in its own time. Trust that what is meant to be renewed will rise naturally.

Do not view your return as reclaiming. See it as rebuilding.

Whether it’s writing, creating, healing, or simply caring for yourself again — allow your past to serve as a foundation, not a destination. What was not lost… was preparation.

You needed time. You needed life. You needed everything you now carry within you.

Now that you have it — the wisdom, the resilience, the tools — you are ready to begin again. But this time, you’re not starting over. You’re continuing forward with deeper roots and clearer vision.

Your Invitation

So I ask you:

Is there something in your life — something once sacred, once soul-nourishing — that could serve you again, if you allow the pain around it to stay in the past?

Can you let that part of your journey reawaken, not as a return, but as a rebirth?

The invitation is here.

The path ahead is waiting.

Not to take you back — but to carry you forward.
