This post was inspired by a motivational quote I recently wrote: “There may be days when you feel ready for anything. Other days you may feel the exact opposite. How you function is a result of your state of mind. Focus your mind — and take charge of your day.”
While that message centers on mindset, this reflection invites something deeper — a return to energetic alignment. It’s not just about what you think — it’s about what you feel, hold, and allow.
Setting an intention begins in the mind—it’s the head leading the heart, defining what you hope to do or become. But when you take that intention and infuse it with the spirit of who you truly are—when you feel, deep within, that this is your calling—you move beyond thinking. You begin to engage your heart, body, and spirit in harmony. This is when you become open to inner wisdom, more attuned to your guidance, and more available to the higher power that anyone has access to – if they only believe to receive.
What follows are a series of thoughts for you to keep close by — and they are guided because they help anyone who is moving from establishing an intention of the mind to an intention of the inner being — so that you are ready and in-tune when wisdom from your higher power comes through. These thoughts do not have to be followed in order, and you can return to any of them throughout your day. They are here to help you awaken, re-center, and remain connected to your inner truth.
How did I develop these thoughts? It is through the process I have been following since the launch of my website several years ago, which was a further evolution of my spiritual journey. I have learned to become quiet and focused, holding a question gently, as if I was in the most treasured library of ancient works you could imagine – then as I wait, I feel a connection to my higher power and that is when wisdom comes to me. It is wisdom I record in journals and transcribe later. It is not until I go through the process of transcription that I realize what I have recorded, and I know it is wisdom far greater than anything I would know or could have learned on my own.
What I want for you to know, as you begin to read the words on this page, is the words I receive are available to anyone who is willing to be open-minded to receiving wisdom that may not always agree with religious dogma or doctrines – as pure wisdom does not seek to control, confine, or restrict.
I do recommend as you begin to try to receive information that you have something to write on close by, as the process is one of love, and you may be so wrapped up in the feeling of being loved that you will not remember the words received later. This is why I have filled so many journals over time, and why I usually do not remember what I received until I go through my notes.
I can also share with you that everyone’s experience may be different. I am not a voice of authority. It is possible you may meet a spiritual guide to assist you along the way, and even more than one. And if you do, you will know it to be true by the intent that you feel. A true guide will never seek to be a co-author, to have its name (if one is given) in lights, or on a book, or in any way acknowledged – as a guide is only meant to assist you in your quest to find knowledge and answers.
If a name is given, it is done as a means, at least from my own experience, to help form a connection in the manner that we (as human beings) are used to making. When you are able to share a name, then you may perceive that a bond has been formed and you have “someone” to call upon when needed. I know for me; a name gives me an assurance I have a consistent spiritual higher power that is getting to know me in a way my questions come to me easier and the answers are also easier for me to receive.
And so for now, I would like to share with you what I received, when I set out to obtain a set of different guided thoughts – that I could use, and anyone could use, throughout the day, to help set a proper intention. When an intention is set, and reinforced by the spirit, your entire being is aligned for what is desired or wanted. Then what you must do is wait, watch, and act when it is time to do so.
A Guided Thought to Start Your Day
Before the world asks anything of you today, pause.
Feel your breath rise and fall—this is life reminding you that you are balanced.
You do not need to immediately fix, prove, or rush anything.
You first need to align.
Set your intention not from urgency, but from wisdom and clarity:
“Today, I choose to walk with my higher power—not ahead of it, not behind it, but beside it.”
Trust that where peace is felt, guidance has arrived.
And where stillness speaks, wisdom is waiting.
A Guided Thought Any Time You Need to Be Uplifted and Empowered
You were not created to fail in the presence of doubt.
You were formed from light, born of wisdom, and shaped by love.
When heaviness surrounds you, place your hand over your heart and remember:
There is a sacred connection within you that has never gone out.
The connection may seem to flicker—it may even seem to fade when you become overwhelmed with life—but know that it never leaves you.
Speak gently to yourself, which means to use positive and affirming words to think about and describe who you are, as this is how you begin to uplift and support yourself.
You can find that connection within you, any time you find yourself focusing your mind in a positive frame of reference, never doubting you can find the answers you need.
Allow yourself to feel a sense of peace—not despair, but alignment with the purest Source of Life and Love.
A Guided Thought for Your Mid-Day
Pause. Breathe. Reset.
Mid-day is not a middle ground—it is an important turning point within your being.
Ask yourself:
“Am I still in tune with my intention?”
“Am I moving with a sense of connection to my higher power, or am I just moving through the day to get it done and over with for now?”
If the answer feels unclear, come back to a time when your thoughts can be stilled for a time.
Even 30 seconds of mindful focus can return your focus to your higher power.
Let this moment right now be your realignment,
And let the next choice be made with calm, conscious clarity.
A Guided Thought for Your Evening
As the day winds down, release the need to solve, to finish, to know why the day progressed as it did.
You are not a project to complete—you are an energetic being, within a physical body, who is considered to be continually in progress.
Let the fading light of the evening remind you:
You have done enough for today. You have also done your best based upon what you know today, who you are today, and what you need to discover about yourself and life for today.
What you need to need to remember, as you settle in for the evening: You are learning and growing, and you are where you are supposed to be right now.
Give yourself a sense of kindness tonight, and trust that whatever needs to be accomplished for tomorrow, whatever your needs or dreams or wants may be… you can address all of them, and all of them can wait, until the morning.
A Guided Thought for the End of Your Day
In the quiet at the end of the day, just before sleep, your spirit softens.
This is the moment to let go—not only of the day, but of the weight it brought.
Whisper this truth to yourself:
“I release all that does not belong to me.”
“The essence of my spirit returns to the positive energy from which I came.”
Your higher power has watched over you today.
The connection you have with it will remain as you rest.
And for tonight in the dark, you need to know that you are never alone—only surrounded by stars waiting to be noticed.
Close your eyes, my dear soul.
You are connected to a higher power.
What you seek, hold as a dream.
You came from the Source of Love and the energy of love surrounds you, always.
What Have You Learned from Your Guided Thoughts?
The more often you pause to receive these guided thoughts, the more attuned you become to your own inner rhythm. You begin to notice what you think first—and then what you receive from within. This is how you develop spiritual awareness: It begins by listening inward and seeking knowledge Listening to the words that come from something greater than you requires belief. Once you believe you can access wisdom from your higher power, you will begin to receive it, as you allow it.
Where does this knowledge come from? It is the work of your higher power, directing your mind to receive knowledge from the Collective Consciousness of mankind, or the repository of all thoughts of mankind. To seek answers is one of many ways to tap into this collective—and there will be many times that you ask a question and an answer does not come to you right away. That is when knowledge may come to you when you are not consciously thinking about the question you had, and you have a moment of sudden insight. Over time, you can learn to ask and receive in tandem.
Spiritual Awareness is understanding that you can seek answers and knowledge. It is also knowing that answers and knowledge come to you in time, the right time as it was intended. What you must learn to do is trust what comes into your mind. When you trust that the wisdom received is not imagined or made up—then it will come to you because you asked. Furthermore, it will come to you because your higher power always responds—in the right time.
Keep these guided thoughts close by as each time you read one, you strengthen your connection to the guidance that is already within you. You are never far from it. You are always one breath, one question, one quiet moment away from the knowledge and answers you seek.
Are you ready to listen—not just with your mind, but with your heart and spirit as well?
