Discover How Your Spiritual Awakening Begins
Do you feel spiritually alive? Or have you been going through the motions, dutifully following what others tell you to believe, hoping it will lead you to the answers you need about life?
In this new post, Bruce J. describes how it’s only when you decide to make a conscious decision to no longer be controlled by others, and you allow your higher power to come through to guide and inspire you, that you will begin to awaken. It will feel as if you are coming out of the shadows and into the light.
Spirituality: Whenever the word spirituality is used, the context is often associated with religious dialogue and scenarios. But spirituality is much more than religion. It is the essence of who you are, including the energy within you, or that which connects you to the Source of Life. Spirituality is the connection that enables you to be part of a larger network, which I refer to as a higher power. In other words, I am removing all religious connotation and allowing you to think about your essence, your being, and what you are comprised of as an individual, without any form of teaching attached to it that you must agree to, believe in, or be a member of, in order to understand it.
What Bruce J. Teaches: I teach spirituality as something you are directly in control of and by doing so, you have the freedom to choose your own beliefs. For some, this may be difficult to accept as there are so many established forms of religion that want you to believe they have the right doctrine and answers, and you must follow and believe their leaders if you are to live a life of fulfillment. But I want you to read messages of hope that you can find answers on your own, and believe in your own ability to be self-empowered to discover access to something powerful within you, called your inner being.
My Quest for Knowledge: The following is what I learned while attuned to my higher power. I sit quietly, focus my thoughts on a beginning question, and allow thoughts to flow through my mind.
Dear Ones: A search for answers is natural, especially when it involves looking ahead and seeking to learn more about the choices to be made that will affect your future. For those who have been raised within a religious home environment, their belief system will be based upon what they have been taught to use, a religious text and prayers. For anyone else, there are alternative options to religion, along with tools such as meditation, which help turn your focus inward for relief. To ignore the internal guidance within you is to miss out on the greatest, and easiest accessible, resource available.
Connecting with Your Inner Being
What is this internal guidance you have access to, otherwise known as your higher power? You can use any language you feel comfortable with, be it your soul, the source of your life, a connection to the Source of Life, or anything similar. At its very essence, it is the energy within you that you cannot see, but you certainly know it exists as you are alive because of it. Similar to any appliance which is run by a seemingly mysterious source you cannot see or touch, yet you know you can feel if you place your finger in the outlet, energy is a powerful force that can give life to things to operate. This is how your higher power, as energy, interacts with your body. Your body would be nothing but raw materials if it were not for a life force providing something to animate it.
The difference between the energy available to power inanimate objects, and energy which gives life to human beings, is the composition of the energy and the matter to which it connects. The energy being connected to a human being comes not from a generator, but from the Source of Life. This energy carries with it a higher power, so the human it connects to will have access to wisdom needed to live, prosper, and find their purpose in life. The matter in which it connects to is unique, as there is a brain that serves as a transmitter and receiver of the endless wisdom available. There are emotions available as well, which provide meaning to the life lived and experienced.
It is possible to connect with and experience this innermost part of your essence, or your higher power, and you begin to do so by learning to sit in silence. There within the quiet of the space you’ve established, you can begin to listen to what you are hearing inside of you, rather than paying attention to the noises around you. While it does take time to learn to connect with your higher power, it won’t take long until you discover it is a natural process, and one that provides you with immense happiness to do as you feel a sense of peace and fulfillment.
Trusting Your Higher Power
There may be a question of trusting what you believe you have picked up on, as you attempt to connect with your higher power. Some people fear they may be thinking hopeful thoughts, rather than listening to the truth. Yet over time, and with practice listening for your inner being, you will know what you are wanting to come true, in comparison to guidance you know you must pay attention to.
What’s important is that you are willing to approach this carefully and with an open mind. If you are feeling a sense of despair about a situation, and you are expecting a particular answer or outcome, you don’t want to try to force the wisdom given. You must always decide ahead of time you are where you are supposed to be, and more importantly, you will trust your higher power to provide the guidance you need, when it is needed.
It’s Time for Your Spiritual Awakening
There is a source of energy within you, something that gives life to your body. It is really quite spectacular when you think about the human body and how it is energized. To know what this energetic source is and where it comes from, and that it is not just a mass referred to as a soul sitting within you doing nothing but residing until death, is an example of knowledge that can liberate you now.
There is nothing I’m asking you to believe. You can read this and just feel for the truth yourself. Should you allow yourself to shed the restrictions of religion, and begin to listen to the source of wisdom available within you, your entire life can begin to change. It’s all up to you.
Are You Ready to Awaken? Within you is a connection that’s yours, without restrictions or limitations, called your higher power. All that’s required of you is your belief, and willingness to trust the wisdom received. Today you can begin to live life anew, as you have access to this internal strength, whenever you need it.
Your higher power has always been there. Now it’s time to listen. Are you ready to begin your own spiritual awakening?
